I have been invited to speak at the upcoming joint REIBC / AIC Valuing Diversity Conference in Parksville, BC.  I will be speaking on the topic of risk as it relates to real estate.  I am looking forward to it, as I do all my speaking engagements, but this one will be a little different.  The format is more informal, with couches and high top tables, rather than theatre style seating and PowerPoint.  Expect a high level of interaction and engagement on the topic.   I will start with a review of risk, and an example of how to complete a risk registry.  Then we will work together on a case study of a development project to see how risk management can be applied to this type of project.  If it’s interesting to everyone, we can even dive into the math!  I look forward to seeing you May 5 – 7, 2016.
