Coastal First Nation – Governance Review and Design

ISC is working with a small community located on BC’s central coast accessible by airplane or boat only.  They have engaged ISC to undertake organizational review and design mandate for their nation over the course of several months.  This highly consultative project is looking to compare previous organizational review efforts to the current state to assess progress towards their strategic goals, and then design their organization to help advance them towards their future state.  Using materials review, key informant interviews, workshops, and analysis, ISC developed an organizational review to document the current state of the organization’s governance, processes, and structure. Next, ISC has developed a roadmap to address the challenges and opportunities identified in the review, prioritized based on a risk management and operational necessity perspective. Central to the future state is addressing inefficiencies in their governance and decision making processes, improving their technology suite, and documenting their policies and processes.
