Through Ameresco, an energy engineering firm, ISC was engaged to provide process improvement and policy development assistance to the Musqueam First Nation, a public entity serving the needs of its community members.

Phase 1 included the development and adaptation of existing housing and capital asset management policies for use by the Musqueam team within the larger capital asset management framework. The policies were drafted to align with existing bylaws, and regulations in place from other authorities having jurisdiction. Phase 2 included work with the Housing team to map their current processes relating to capital asset management and development, including optimization and efficiency identification. This work required full engagement of the Housing Department team to specify the needs particular to their community and culture, and detailed articulation of their governance and decision-making structures.
